About Us

Rainham CC was founded in 1896 and play friendly and league cricket, fielding teams both days of the weekend.

The club has gone from strength to strength in recent years, enjoying multiple promotions up the Mid-Essex Cricket League, with the 1s competing in Divison 1 in 2017, the 2s escalating from Division 11 to Division 5 with SIX consecutive promotions and the 3s obtaining promotion to Division 8 in 2017.

Under-15, 13 and 11 fixtures are arranged throughout the year, competing in their sixth competitive season in the Havering league, with the Under-13s and 15s playing in the Havering Cup. The club have in place a team of 12 ECB accredited coaches. The youth section is bearing fruit with many of the youngsters making their way into the senior T-Rippon Mid-Essex League teams.

Facilities are always improving and our new outdoor artificial wicket and net facility, tailored renovations to the clubhouse and a brand new roller to maintain the square. It is hoped these works will improve the experience for home and opposition players on match days in 2017 and show an increase in those taking advantage of the facilities made available to the community. We have recently invested heavily in Thames RFC's cricket facilities, laying a brand new cricket square for the 2017 season.

Throughout the winter there are four indoor teams playing competitive cricket and training net sessions run approximately 48 weeks of the year. Indoor nets take place from November to April every year at Campion School in Hornchurch from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday nights.

We welcome players of varying ability so please get in touch if interested. Nets are hosted at our home ground (Spring Farm Park) 6pm onwards Thursday evenings for seniors and 6.30pm every Monday evening for juniors during the cricket season, with club training nights on Tuesdays where everbody is welcome.

If you'd like to join club members for social events or to aid the committee in delivering the clubs ongoing development please do get in touch.
